Video description: I love seeing dedication to a brand. There is nothing better than seeing the fruits of ones labor after they are bitten by the bug. For Allan, these fruits are his Datsuns and the journey they have brought him on over the past 15 years. For some the development of a car is the journey and nothing brings more joy and satisfaction. The car world as a whole is a better place because of those whose effort, time, and dedication save these cars along the way. My hat to you, Allan.

When we stop by car meets, shows/events, or just in a random grocery store parking lot, we’re always on the look out for interesting builds… Like this 1991 V6 Turbo Chevy Cavalier Wagon. From a distance I mistakes the wheels for ENKEI92′s, which is what first grabbed me, only to find out from Josh they are actually old Barreta wheels he found in a junkyard for a bank breaking price of $27! Josh tells us his Chevy Cavalier wagon was an AT&T Service vehicle but now this “service car” is equipped with a turbocharged 3.2 V6 pushing 385whp. Josh pointed out the car, according to the state of Texas, is valued at $670 which is less than the passenger Recaro seat. Enkei Wheels continues to support the classic Japanese car movement by re-introducing the Apache 2 wheel. What better way to premier the wheel than to put them on a beautiful 1971 Datsun 510. I spent a lot of time in the Enkei booth and was surprised how many people were stoping buy to not only take a pic of it but to a pic with the 510. A lady looked over to me amazed with a huge smile on her face and said “I had one of these as my first car… cost me $100″. The 510 definitely took the spotlight at the Enkei Wheels booth. Exciting news from our friends at Enkei Wheels! As you probably know, Enkei began re-introducing some of their old school wheels as part of their Classic Series. So far, they only have two wheels in their classic series, the ENKEI92 and the J-Speed but a third wheel is on it’s way. The Apache 2 is being re-introduced to the market by the end of this year! The wheel will be available in 15×7 +38 offset, 15×8 +25, and 15×8 ZERO offset. Both 4×114.3 and 4×100 bolt patterns set to be available. Toyota Fest 2011 took place in Long Beach Harbor, California. The location was awesome- right on the water next to the queen marie. The turn out was huge. Lots of foot traffic and a large variety of Toyotas. Scion, VIP Lexus, Boso style, Corollas, Levins, etc. Check out the pics below! (photos by Joe Coville)
Made a quick stop this morning at Lincoln College of Technology for the Million Dollar Car Show. Really loved the Infiniti M45, straight VIP and the green 1971 Jaguar XKE V12 was definitely my favorite car in the show. If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you can probably tell by now we have a small obsession with classic Japanese cars. For me, this obsession started a couple of years ago. While helping to plan the re-release of the ENKEI92 wheel at Enkei International, I started to look online for potential photo shoot potential car owners. After a couple of weeks of looking and checking out all the great classics the internet has to offer, I fell in love with the Datsun 510 among other great classic Japanese cars.
