Check out this quick video of a behind the scenes look at Patrick’s 1973 Toyota Corolla photo shoot! Love the classic Corolla. Definitely on every classic Japanese Car lover’s short list. – Jose
It’s somewhat of a funny story how I came across Angelo’s AE86. I was on Craigslist looking for a clean classic Toyota Corolla and had no luck. So what I usually do is track forward year by year. Starting with 1975 Corolla, then 76, then 77 and so on. Well I finally came to 1985… and there was this Toyota AE86 Corolla GTS. I was going to shoot an email to this guy but noticed there was a phone number. Went to call it and it turned out Angelo was already in my contacts.
Check out our 1979 Honda Accord. We had to get the ENKEI92 wheels re-drilled (thanks Atlanta Wheels) from 4×114.3 to 4×120 which no one makes a wheels in! The wheels are 15×7 +38 wrapped in Yokohama S-Drive 195/55R/15 tires. Meaty. A big thank you to the guys at Discount Tire for taking care of us on the mounting and balancing. More pics after the jump. Before you say it, we know… needs more low. – Alex [click to continue…]
Josh Clason releases a video giving you the rundown on Datsun nut Allan Anderson’s obsession with everything Datsun. It’s an awesome video and a great way to spend six minutes of your day. Or 18 minutes if you’re like us! – WMD
Video description: I love seeing dedication to a brand. There is nothing better than seeing the fruits of ones labor after they are bitten by the bug. For Allan, these fruits are his Datsuns and the journey they have brought him on over the past 15 years. For some the development of a car is the journey and nothing brings more joy and satisfaction. The car world as a whole is a better place because of those whose effort, time, and dedication save these cars along the way. My hat to you, Allan.
We have set out on our journey across the USA. Join us over at the site and Facebook to find out where we currently are! If you have any car stories along our path please contact me.
When we stop by car meets, shows/events, or just in a random grocery store parking lot, we’re always on the look out for interesting builds… Like this 1991 V6 Turbo Chevy Cavalier Wagon. From a distance I mistakes the wheels for ENKEI92′s, which is what first grabbed me, only to find out from Josh they are actually old Barreta wheels he found in a junkyard for a bank breaking price of $27! Josh tells us his Chevy Cavalier wagon was an AT&T Service vehicle but now this “service car” is equipped with a turbocharged 3.2 V6 pushing 385whp. Josh pointed out the car, according to the state of Texas, is valued at $670 which is less than the passenger Recaro seat. It was definitely the most interesting car at Lee’s Sandwiches car meet in Garland Texas! Thanks for letting us shoot the car man! What Monsters Do! More pics and a few more specs after the jump! Enkei Wheels continues to support the classic Japanese car movement by re-introducing the Apache 2 wheel. What better way to premier the wheel than to put them on a beautiful 1971 Datsun 510. I spent a lot of time in the Enkei booth and was surprised how many people were stoping buy to not only take a pic of it but to a pic with the 510. A lady looked over to me amazed with a huge smile on her face and said “I had one of these as my first car… cost me $100″. The 510 definitely took the spotlight at the Enkei Wheels booth. Maybe it was the WMD sticker… maybe not. More pics –> [click to continue…]
This year’s Classic Japanese Car Show was huge! Crazy amount of 510′s Mazda’s, old Corolla’s, and even a dope classic motorcycle section! Thanks again to Terry for having us out and a special thanks to my friends at Enkei Wheels! Check out more pics here –> [click to continue…]

Exciting news from our friends at Enkei Wheels! As you probably know, Enkei began re-introducing some of their old school wheels as part of their Classic Series. So far, they only have two wheels in their classic series, the ENKEI92 and the J-Speed but a third wheel is on it’s way. The Apache 2 is being re-introduced to the market by the end of this year! The wheel will be available in 15×7 +38 offset, 15×8 +25, and 15×8 ZERO offset. Both 4×114.3 and 4×100 bolt patterns set to be available. As of now, it will come in silver with a shiny lip or black with a shiny lip. More pics after the jump! [click to continue…]
