This is Jay Kho’s 1983 Nissan Skyline DR30. I first came across this Skyline on the web – Jay and his car were featured in the widely popular video series Petrolicious. Since I was in Las Vegas for a SEMA summit, I decided to hit up Jay to see if I could snap a few quick photos. We headed over to the Red Rock area where the desert scenery was perfect and the sun was setting. It was a Monday afternoon where the temperature was well above 100 degrees and it was still pretty hot… but we were able to find a good spot and take these pics on the side of the road!
His DR30 is in awesome condition thanks to a lot of hard work. It has an SR20 engine transplant that happens to come from one of pro drifter Forest Wang’s personal cars – I thought that was pretty cool. A big thank you to Jay for letting me shoot his awesome Skyline and also for showing me around the nontourist areas of Las Vegas. It led to a fun night full of drinks, laughs, and good food. I never thought I would say this but… looking forward to returning to Vegas. 😉 Spec/Mod list below.
