A big thank you to Janet for letting us borrow her AE86 for the weekend. The people loved it and were amazed at how clean this Hachi Roku is. Definitely one of the top 3 cars at the event! Ben's 1977 Datsun 280Z

This lovely 1977 Datsun 280z belongs to my roommate Ben Cort. He picked this rig up a year or so ago after tiring of his 05 WRX wagon. These cars aren't too easy to come by these days so when this one popped up on Craigslist he jumped on it. The previous owner had pulled the head off and apart for unknown reasons. The plan was initially just to get the motor back together and tidy a few things up here and there. However like many car projects do, things escalated rather quickly. Hachi-Roku / AE86 LOVE, Hawaii

If you follow us on Facebook, you know we always show love to the Hachi-Roku (Japanese for Eight-Six). Dave, in Hawaii, had a chance to stop by this Classic Toyota meet and was able to snap several AE86's. I love these cars so much, I'm always wearing my Hachi-Roku crewneck - even though I don't even own an AE86! Don't judge me. More photos after the jump. Quick Snaps: Keepin' up with the Jones' '57 Chevy

I got a chance to shoot Bill Jones' dad's 1957 Chevy in November. I know the word Classic gets used a lot - but Bel-Air is synonymous with Classic. I've shot a lot of cars-- this has to be one of the most photogenic if not most iconic ones I had ever had the privilege to shoot.
