Honda S2000 At Mobara Circuit

I literally only exchanged a couple of words with the owner of this CLEAN Honda S2000 so I don’t have any info on the car. We were just about to leave the track but couldn’t pass up the chance to snap a few shots of this clean S2K. It was right as the sun was setting so the lighting was perfect! Anyway, enjoy the pics!

A Visit To Nissan Nismo Factory In Yokohama

We took a train, a bus ride, a short walk to the Nissan Nismo Factory in Yokohama Japan where the guys at Nissan do some of their research and development. The showroom consisted of several Nismo Race Car memorabilia. The workers there were friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. Check out the pics! I had a great time shooting this 1972 Datsun 240z. Also enjoyed the conversation and cruise with Miguel.  Make sure to check out the photos from the shoot on blog.whatmonstersdo.com. A big thank you to Enkei Wheels, Koyorad, Turn14, and Miguel for allowing me to shoot his awesome 240. Make sure to watch the video at the end of this post – it’s just a quick video of the drive to the parking garage where we shot the car. Thanks for tuning in! – Alex

Being a big AE86 fan, this burgundy / red hachi-roku caught my eye. It was almost show-room quality so was surprised and happy to see it on track for a big part of the day. Other than it having a super clean engine bay with a 4AGE, fender flares, and Work Meister CR01’s, due to my lack of Japanese, I was not able to get the...

Tokyo Auto Salon 2017

My second visit to Tokyo was amazing and best of all I got to really enjoy Tokyo Auto Salon this time around. Last year, I caught the flu just as I was landing at Narita Airport so spent most of my week inside my hotel room. This year I attended TAS 2017 on “media day” which is designed to let photographers/media members take photos of the cars and booths without a bunch of crazy car fans in your shot. But in my opinion, media day seemed much busier than last years show. Good for the industry not so much for...
